Urgent-care practice to open in former Friendly's restaurant

ROCHESTER - Clear Choice MD urgent care will be opening a new location at 77 South Main St. in the former Friendly's restaurant.

According to the city's planning and development department, the business application has been accepted and a letter of approval has been sent.

The building's interior will be renovated to suit the needs of the facility, while the exterior will also receive a facelift, including new light fixtures, doors and windows, rain gutters, and paint. All design characteristics of the former Friendly's restaurant, such as the cupola and awnings, will be removed. The window dormers will also be removed.

New landscaping is also expected.

ClearChoiceMD centers are equipped to treat all urgent non-life-threatening medical needs. The center will be open seven days a week on a walk-in basis.
