Virus positivity rate spikes to 2.4; transmission risk in most of state 'substantial'

CONCORD - The seven-day average of COVID-19 positivity among newly tested individuals has jumped to 2.4 percent statewide with now every county in the state but Cheshire listed as at a "substantial" transmission level.

The new numbers come as DHHS announced 215 new positive test results for COVID-19 on Monday.

The pcr positivity rate specific to Monday, however, was not available.

Locally, cases are also continuing to rise with 46 in Rochester, 76 in Dover, 68 in Durham, 12 in Somersworth, 10 in Farmington and Barrington and 1-4 in Milton. Strafford is the lone local town with no cases.

The newly identified cases include 26 minors and 41 in Strafford County.

No new hospitalized cases were reported for a current total of 56.
