Want to complain about city's downtown parking dilemma? Here's your chance
Rochester Voice 10:54 a.m.
ROCHESTER - The city is asking residents to take part in a Downtown Parking Survey to solicit public input and specify downtown parking needs.
The survey was created by the Parking Review Group, which is made up of elected officials, city staff, and members of the business community. Its mission includes planning for downtown parking needs, improving parking management, and fostering a walkable downtown for both residents and visitors alike.
Shanna B. Saunders, planning and development director and staff liaison to the group, says that the survey is meant for everyone, not just people that already live and work downtown.
"We want to hear from everyone that may have parked downtown in the past year," said Saunders. "Whether you're downtown all the time or not often at all -- take the survey! We want to hear from you."
The survey can be completed online by visiting www.rochesternh.gov/planning-development
The deadline for submissions is Sept. 30.
