ROCHESTER - A major groundbreaking will be held today for a project that will bring additional municipal water and sewer services to the Market Basket Plaza on Milton Road.

The city announced on Monday the project, part of a Economic Development Authority (EDA) grant project, will start in early summer.

It will include the construction of 8,000 feet of municipal sewer and construct/replace 9,000 feet of expanded water capacity to service the commercial center.

Market Basket, a financial partner in this project, is committed to create more jobs opportunities in manufacturing, distribution, management and service positions, a press release from the city's Office of Community & Economic Development said.
