PORTSMOUTH - The wife of the Strafford County Sheriff was arrested early Saturday on charged of drunken driving during a State Police saturation patrol in the Greater Portsmouth area.
Jamie L. Brave, 44, of Dover, the wife of Strafford County Sheriff Mark Brave, was charged with driving under the influence of liquor, according to a press release from State Police spokesperson Amber Lagace.
The specific location and circumstances of Jaime Brave's arrest were not disclosed in the statement released on Saturday.
Also arrested for DUI during the patrol was Sierra D. Peterson, 27, of Rochester.
The high-visibility DUI patrols, comprising NHSP Troop A Barracks, the New Hampshire State Police Special Enforcement Unit and Portsmouth Police Officers, were conducted during the early morning hours.
This initiative was funded by the New Hampshire Office of Highway Safety and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and allowed for a larger contingency of Troopers and Officers to focus on traffic enforcement within the city and surrounding areas.
