While snow accumulations may be slowing down, area motorists need to continue to use extra caution as sleet and freezing rain are expected to pick up throughout the afternoon and evening.
Rochester Police reported a couple of cars slid off city roads this morning while Lebanon Fire and EMS noted one accident. Milton Police were not available.
Meanwhile, the winter weather advisory remains in effect until midnight tonight, with plenty of sleet and freezing rain ahead for the Northern Seacoast.
Some five inches of heavy, wet, shovel unfriendly snow had already fallen in the area by 10 a.m.
Snow-covered roads along with a wintry mix will keep driving conditions hazardous throughout the day and evening before the storm finally winds down later tonight.
Winds, which had been moderate as the storm began early this morning will pick up out of the east at 15-25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph, which could spell trouble for power lines.
As of 10:30 a.m. CMP reported no outages across York County.
