CONCORD - A Grantham woman led State Police on a chase reaching speeds up to 90 mph before she crashed into a ditch minutes after the chase was suspended due to imminent risk to the public.

The incident unfolded around 2:20 p.m. when a State Police trooper attempted to stop the woman's 2016 Mazda CX-5 on Interstate 89 northbound in Concord for failing to stay in her lane.

However, the vehicle did not pull over prompting a pursuit that continued on I-89 reaching speeds between 80 and 90 mph, according to a statement released by State Police on Wednesday.

The suspect vehicle then took Exit 7 onto Route 103 toward Hopkinton where moments later the chase was ended near the Warner/Hopkinton town line.

The suspect vehicle was located minutes later in a ditch on the side of Route 103.

Taken into custody without incident was Tracie Anne Plodzik, 54, of Grantham.

She was charged with driving while intoxicated-subsequent, aggravated DWI, disobeying a police officer, and lane control and later bailed on personal recognizance.
