Woman hurt in Rochester hit-and-run

ROCHESTER - A man was injured on Thursday in a hit-and-run accident at the intersection of Rochester Hill Road and Sunset Drive.

Police say revealed Tammy Batista, 33, was walking southbound on Rochester Hill Road and was crossing Sunset Drive when a red minivan going westbound on Sunset Drive and making a right onto Rochester Hill Road when she was struck.   The operator of the minivan reportedly was a man and was wearing a baseball cap.  The vehicle was last seen traveling northbound on Rochester Hill Road.  

The accident occurred around 2 p.m. Batista was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with a minor leg injury, police said.

The collision is under investigation and the police are seeking any information regarding the operator of the vehicle.
