Woman indicted in stabbing death of elderly Manchester man

MANCHESTER - The Attorney General's Office announce today that s 34-year-old woman has been indicted in the death of an elderly Manchester man on May 13, 2022.

Stephanie Beard, age 34, is accused of second-degree murder for knowingly causing the death of John Glennon, 71, by causing sharp force injuries with a knife, and one alternative count of second-degree murder for recklessly causing his death under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to the value of human life by causing sharp force injuries with a knife.

Beard, with know fixed address, was also indicted on one count of theft by unauthorized taking for obtaining or exercising unauthorized control over Glennon's car.

Glennon's body was found inside his home at 323 Franklin St., the Carpenter Center, in Manchester.

Beard remains jailed without bail. Arraignment on these indictments will be scheduled in Hillsborough County Superior Court - Northern District.

She was arrested on this warrant on May 14, by the Boston Police Department.

The charges and allegations set forth in the indictments are merely accusations, and Beard is presumed innocent until proved guilty.
