ROCHESTER - A woman who attended the Friday arraignment of Jazzmyn Rood n her daughter's fentanyl OD death at Rochester District Court said she kicked Rood and her boyfriend, Mark Ross, out of a Rochester motel she managed two years ago because of drug use and prostitution.

Ross and Rood along with another woman are charged in the Oct. 17 death of Spaulding High senior Eve Tarmey at the Riviera Motel in Gonic.
The woman at the courthouse only gave her first name of Mary, but said she was from Milton and had managed the Sunset Village Motel on Milton Road a couple of years ago.

Numerous reports have indicated Rood was a known prostitute who advertised on backpage, a website that platforms for a number of illicit sexual services.

Mary, of Milton, who would not let media photograph her face, allowed The Lebanon Voice to take this picture.

"She had men come by all the time and when she did her boyfriend would walk down and go to another room for a while," Mary said angrily. "I called the police, but they said they could never catch her in the act and did nothing.

"I finally kicked them out."

Mary said Eve Tarmey would often visit her mother there, too.

She added that she also contacted DHHS but they did nothing.
