Woman with 5 DWIs - and daughter - leads police on Wakefield-Dover chase

DOVER - A Massachusett woman with five drunken driving convictions led State Police on a chase from Wakefield to Dover that only ended after police used tire-deflation sticks to disable her vehicle.

Vickie Thibodeau, 39, of North Billerica, who was driving with her 16-year-old daughter in the vehicle, faces charges of driving while intoxicated, DWI subsequent offense, aggravated DWI, disobeying a police officer, operating after suspension, reckless conduct, reckless operation and speeding.

According to state police, troopers from Troop E in Tamworth tried to stop Thibodeau's pickup in Wakefield after she was observed committing several traffic violations, however she refused to stop.

She was finally arrested after the tire deflation device was utilized on Route 16 around 7 p.m.
