ROCHESTER - The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce will hold its first-ever remote Chamber Raffle this Friday beginning at 6 p.m., and there are still 40 tickets available if anyone wants to win a Harley Davidson or $10,000 cash.

This year's Chamber Raffle, sponsored by D.F. Richard Energy, will take place at Atlantic Broadband's Jarvis Avenue facility, where a small staff of volunteers will provide the reverse raffle logistics that will culminate with the drawing of the grand prize winner who will choose between $10,000 in cash or a brand new Harley Davidson FXLR motorcycle.

The emcee of the event, Matt Beaulieu of Service Credit Union, will for the fourth straight year be naming the raffle numbers as they wind down toward the winning entry.

While it's a little unusual to still have 40 tickets left two days before the event, Chamber President and CEO Laura Ring said today she was thrilled with the 284 ducats the chamber has already sold given the unusual circumstances fueled by the coronavirus pandemic that is impacting the entire country.

"I am surprised and overwhelmed by the amount of support the community has shown," Ring said.

Normally the event is held at the Governor's Inn with a full gala dinner, but due to safety concerns over COVID-19, it was decided early on to make the night an online affair.

Because it is online a couple of changes have been made to the night's typical format. First, the second chance prizes that are drawn out of the "loser's" pool do not require the entrant to be online to win. Secondly, the Scratch Ticket basket that is normally raffled off will go to the first number drawn.

The Scratch Ticket Movie Bowl also comes with a couple of DVDs, candy, popcorn along with $200 worth of scratch tickets.

The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce is also auctioning off four Caribbean resort vacations as part of the 2020 Chamber Raffle.

As this event is being livestreamed and won't be held with live bids, bids are being accepted now for the resort vacation trips to St. Lucia, Antigua- St. James's Club, Barbados, and Antigua- Hammock Cove. The successful bid purchasers will have until December 2022 to book travel dates.

To submit bids for these trips and for details, visit the Chamber website at www.rochesternh.org and scroll down to the Caribbean Vacation information where trip information and bid form can be found. Return the bid form to the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce by Friday or call the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce at (603)332-5080. Forty Chamber Raffle tickets are also still on sale for $100 apiece for your chance to win $10,000 or a 2020 Harley Davidson FXLR Low Rider Motorcycle. Call 603-332-5080, email events@rochesternh.org or visit www.rochesternh.org/Raffle for more information
