$5,000 reward offered for info that leads to couple's killer

CONCORD - The Attorney Generals Office announced today that the Concord Regional Crimeline will facilitate a reward of up to $5,000.00 for information that leads to the arrest and indictment of whomever is responsible for the murders of Stephen and Djeswende Reid.

Information can be submitted anonymously by contacting the Concord Regional Crimeline at (603) 226-3100. Tips can also be submitted online through the Crimeline website at www.concordregionalcrimeline.com, or text message TIP234 and your message to CRIMES (274637). All tips remain anonymous.

Since April 21, 2022, the Concord Police have received more than 130 tips about the Reids' murders. The police continue to follow up on each of these leads and continue to investigate every aspect of these murders. It is crucial that any person who has any information regarding these murders report to the police what information is known to them, no matter how inconsequential the person believes the information may be.

Importantly, anonymous tips submitted through the Crimeline website allow for the Concord Police to respond to whomever provided the tip after the tip is submitted. That response is done through the Crimeline website. The Concord Police have responded to a number of the tips received asking for additional information or clarification. The investigation to date has revealed that the Reids left their residence in the Alton Woods apartment complex at approximately 2:22 p.m. on the afternoon of April 18, and went for a walk that led them to the area of the Broken Ground Trails which are off of Portsmouth Street in Concord. Family and friends did not see or hear from them after that.

Anyone with dashboard camera ("dash cam") footage from driving on Loudon Road or Portsmouth Street on Monday April 18, 2022, is asked to contact the Concord Police Department. In addition, anyone who was hiking or biking in the Broken Ground Trails area on April 17, April 18, or April 19, in particular on the Marsh Loop Trail, or any other trails in the Broken Ground Trails area is asked to contact the Concord Police Department.
