ROCHESTER - Richard D. Rogers, 73, of Rochester died on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital following a period of failing health.

Born March 30, 1952, in Rochester, he was the son of the late Richard M. and Dorothy (Dolan) Rogers.

Rick was a local business owner, craftsman and sign maker for many years, handmaking neon and custom wood signs for his customers.

In his free time, he was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved spending time outdoors and on the water with friends and family. Rick also spent many years coaching and sponsoring local sports teams. He influenced many young men growing up in youth sports and loved sharing the memories with family.

In his passing Richard leaves behind his children Jennifer Needham and husband Scott Colson of Old Orchard Beach, ME; Richard D. Rogers II and wife Rebecca Rogers of Rochester; five grandchildren: Matt, Natalie, Gavin, Quinn and Ensley; two sisters Niki McGettigan and husband Steve of Temple and Theresa Chaurillo and husband Joseph of Manchester; as well as many nieces and nephews.
