ROCHESTER - Two motorists were injured on Wednesday when their vehicles collided on Farmington Road near The Ridge Marketplace.

The crash occurred around 2:15 p.m. when police say Barbara Triest-Mcbride, 64, of Newmarket, was driving a Nissan Sentra east on Farmington Road toward Rochester and collided with a Chrysler Town and Country driven by Russell Bellgardt, 78, of Middleton, who was driving west and make a left turn in front of oncoming traffic to head in to The Ridge.

Both drivers were taken for treatment of what were described as nonlife threatening injuries, while both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Bellgardt was cited for failure of traffic turning left to yield.

The accident remains under investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is encouraged to contact Officer Lambert of the Rochester Police Department at 603-330-7127.
