LEBANON - Two motorists were injured on Sunday in a head-on collision on the grist mill bridge on Little River Road.

The accident occurred around 7:30 a.m. when a truck and a sedan collided on what may have been a slick road surface after several inches of snow fell overnight New Year's Eve.

The two occupants of the pickup truck were transported to Southern Maine Healthcare in Sanford, while the two occupants of the car refused transport, according to Lebanon Fire and EMS.

The grist mill bridge has been the scene of several serious crashes of late including a fatal crash in October in which a Sanford man died.

The names of the injured were not released due to privacy concerns.
