ROCHESTER - Rochester Police said today they believe they have located the driver of the other vehicle involved in a road rage incident on Friday evening.

Police further said they no longer believe an actual shooting took place during the incident, rather that the injured man may have hurt his arm as the Chevrolet Cobalt operated by the other man drove away from the scene.

Police still believe the incident that occurred in the area of Winkley Farm Lane was a result of road rage and fully expect three will be charges in the near future.

"Right now it appears a Ford Focus was driving slowly during a rainstorm and possibly erratically, causing the guy in the Cobalt to lean on his horn," Rochester Police Capt. Todd Pinkham said today.

Soon after that the two men both stopped their cars in the roadway. Police are now closely investigating what transpired after that.

The second man involved in the incident contacted police after reading about it in news reports.

Both men are from Rochester.

During the incident the Cobalt is said to have sustained a broken rear driver's side window. How that occurred is also part of the investigation, Pinkham said.
