ROCHESTER - The man who was jumped and viciously beaten by two Rochester men in a Lafayette Street driveway earlier this month is slowly recovering, while a third man wanted in connection with the incident remains at large.

The victim, a Newmarket, N.H., man, suffered lacerations to the face as well as serious internal injuries, Rochester Police Capt. Jason Thomas said on Tuesday.

Police responded to 48 Lafayette St. on Jan. 8 for reports of an assault and found the victim laying unconscious on the driveway.

After a weeklong investigation Chris Greenwood and Brett Tibbetts, both 20, were arrested on Sunday and charged with riot in the attack. Both are currently being held at Strafford County Jail.

Meanwhile, a third suspect, Stephen Reagan Jr., 22, also of Rochester, is wanted on felony counts of receiving stolen property and forgery for allegedly using the victim's credit card, Thomas said.

The relationship between Reagan and the other two in unclear, said Thomas, who added police are following up on some leads regarding his whereabouts.
