4th Annual Monarch School Bike Ride benefit set for Oct.

ROCHESTER - The Monarch School of New England's Fourth Annual Charity Bike Ride and Walk will take place on Oct. 7 with entrants able to choose from a 20-, 29- or 50-mile ride through Strafford, Carroll and Belknap counties.

The 50-mile route begins at 8:30 a.m., followed by the 29-mile course at 9:30 and 20-mile ride at 10:30.

There will also be a four-mile family bike ride and a four-mile walk.

The fund-raiser benefits the Monarch School of New England, a private, nonprofit specialized day school serving students with significant developmental, medical, intellectual and behavioral disabilities from New Hampshire and Southern Maine.

All bike and walking events start from the school located at 13 Monarch Way off Eastern Ave, Rochester.

The event's lead sponsor is McManus Coal & Wood Pellet Sales. Additional sponsors include: MetLife Auto & Home/Bonnie Amirault; Dunkin' Donuts of Rochester; Hannaford; Bank of New Hampshire; Northeast Credit Union; HBL Group LLC; CGI Business Solutions; United Insurance; Windjammers; Market Square Architects and the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce.
