ROCHESTER - It just wouldn't be a winter weekend without another snowstorm to dig out from, but the clouds gathering overhead this morning have a silver lining, because Rochester's Winter Festival is set for tomorrow from 1-3 p.m. at the Common, and hopefully, there'll be plenty of new snow to play in.
The free, family-friendly event includes music, hot cocoa, s'mores and touch-a-trucks with vehicles provided by Rochester Police and Fire as well as DPW.

"We will also have a deejay," Rochester Rec & Arena Marketing Program Coordinator Nicole Lee told The Rochester Voice today.
Attendees are encouraged to bring food donations for the Raider Station Food Pantry at Spaulding High School.
The snow that is expected today includes varying predictions from one to three inches to five to eight inches in the Northern Seacoast.
The precip is expected to begin in earnest around noon and bring plowable snow to the Greater Rochester area.
Slick and sometimes slushy roads can be expected through the afternoon and into the commute going home. There could even be some ice developing late tonight as temps dip below freezing.
The rate of snow will be significant, often coming down at an inch an hour.
When the storm gets under way the temps will be in the high 30s, so expect some slushy patches. The snow will continue well into the nighttime hours till it begins to wind down a little after midnight, however, flurries will continue off and on till mid-afternoon on Saturday while the festival is under way.
Sunday will be mostly sunny with a high in the mid-30s.
For more info on the Winter Festival call the Rec department at 603-332-4120.
