ROCHESTER - The Rochester Performance & Arts Center will present an all-new dramatic play called "A Steady Rain."

The play's plot focuses on Joey and Denny who have been best friends since kindergarten, and after working together for several years as police officers in Chicago, they are practically family.

Joey helps out with Denny's wife and kids; Denny keeps Joey away from the bottle. But when a domestic disturbance call takes a turn for the worse, their friendship is put on the line. The result is a difficult journey into a moral gray area where trust and loyalty struggle for survival against a sobering backdrop of pimps, prostitutes, and criminal lowlifes.

A dark diologue filled with sharp storytelling and biting repartee, "A Steady Rain" explores the complexities of a lifelong bond tainted by domestic affairs, violence, and the rough streets of Chicago.

"Characteristic of Chicagoland theater at its gritty, no-nonsense best... An irresistibly forceful exercise in noir-style tandem storytelling," said Terry Teachout of The Wall Street Journal.

DETAILS The show opens on November 9th and will run until November 18th. Tickets start at $15. Reserve tickets online or call the box office (603) 948-1099.

The Rochester Performance & Arts Center is sponsored by Holy Rosary Credit Union and Rochester Rotary. The Rochester Performance & Arts Center is located 32 North Main Street, Rochester NH. Visit www.rochesteroperahouse.com/rpac to purchase tickets and for additional information.
