A tribute to my friend Wayne; he'd want us to rock on!

I have so many fond memories of Wayne Cardinal, whom I first met when he was serving me my first Piña Colada the day I turned 21. It was in the Remember When Lounge in Rochester. It was the coolest place I'd ever been in. Black and white checkered floors, chrome trim tables and chairs, and the best was a DJ booth that was made from a GTO convertible!

The music was '50s and '60s. My sister-in-law and I were the youngest ones in the bar that first day.

It quickly became my favorite place to go! Unfortunately not long after that the restaurant and bar burnt to the ground and it was not rebuilt. Fortunately I still got to see my favorite bartender in many places. He was a musician, vintage car enthusiast, caterer, and probably much more! And he loved to eat out, always willing to let one know what was good on the menu! I am going to miss Wayne Cardinal, who passed away earlier this week. I hope that I can find someone this week to make me a Piña Colada that is worthy of your honor. Rock 'n Roll my friend...
