WOLFEBORO - Leone, McDonnell & Roberts announce on Tuesday that Ryan Maran, CPA, passed all four components of the CPA examination.

Developed by the AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants), the Uniform CPA Examination assesses the knowledge and skills of individuals and ensures that only those who are qualified become licensed as US Certified Public Accountants.

The CPA Exam is one of three requirements known as "the three E's" needed to obtain a CPA license - education, examination and experience.

CPA licenses are issued by state boards of accountancy in 55 US jurisdictions. To sit for the CPA Exam, eligible candidates must have earned a baccalaureate degree which includes 150 semester hours of education- 30 semester hours of accounting courses and 24 semester hours of business courses other than accounting courses. At the recent New Hampshire Society of Certified Public Accountants' Annual Meeting and CPA Inauguration event at the Manchester Country Club, Mr. Maran was recognized and took his Ethics pledge administered by NH Secretary of State, Bill Gardner.

Mr. Maran graduated from the Peter T. Paul School of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire with a BS in Business Administration: Accounting in 2012 and an MS in Accounting in 2013. He joined the firm immediately after graduating and is a Senior Accountant with the firm, focusing his work on not-for-profit audits, tax planning and preparing for both businesses and individuals. He particularly enjoys the relationships he has made both within the firm and with clients.

Mr. Maran is married with three sons. He enjoys camping, hiking and playing sports with his sons. Working primarily out of the Wolfeboro office, Ryan and his family reside in Wolfeboro.
