DOVER, N.H. - The Dpver man whose attempted murder trial ended with a deadlocked jury in August has been indicted on witness tampering charges.

Kerry Joseph, formerly of New York Avenue, is accused of trying to kill Okiemute "Leo" Omatie on July 29, 2014, on Lafayette Street in Rochester.

Joseph allegedly shot Omatie when he became trapped between two Lafayette Street residences.

A retrial is scheduled for December.

Meanwhile in the new indictment, Joseph is accused of trying to get the victim to give false testimony.

Joseph faces three and a half to seven years if convicted of witness tampering and life if convicted of attempted murder charge.

The Strafford County grand jury indictments were handed down Oct. 15 and released on Tuesday.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, only that a grand jury has found sufficient evidence a trial is warranted.
