Acton, N. Berwick men injured in Springvale rollover

SPRINGVALE, Maine - Two Maine men were injured on Saturday when the vehicle they were riding in left the roadway, struck some trees and rolled over in the area of Main Street and S-Curve Road in Springvale.

The vehicle they were in, a Kia Forte, was traveling north on Main Street around 7 p.m. when the crash occurred.

The driver Hunter Penley, 23, of North Berwick, and passenger, Dean Towne, 42, of Acton, were both treated for their injuries and released from Maine Medical Center.

Police say their initial investigation determined that the vehicle was operating erratically prior to leaving the roadway. The accident is under investigation.
