Actor, singers, dancers sought for 'Mamma Mia' production at ROH

ROCHESTER - The Rochester Opera House is holding auditions for its upcoming production of a "Mamma Mia!" The show will be produced by Anthony Ejarque, directed by Stephen Small, with musical direction by Kathy Fink.

Show dates are Jan. 11-27. Performances will be on Fridays at 7:30, Saturdays at 2 and 7:30 and Sundays at 2. There will be a condensed, intensive rehearsal process beginning on December 1st straight through to opening night on Jan 11.

Rehearsals and will take place Monday-Friday evenings and Saturdays from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Anyone cast in another show during this rehearsal time will not be cast. The production is seeking adults and teens age 18 and older. Be prepared to sing 16-32 bars of a song from a musical in a similar style. Music should be brought in a stiff 3-ring binder. It should comprise piano/vocal music, not a lead sheet or simplified version. A pianist will be provided.

There will be a dance call, so anyone auditioning should dress appropriately. They should also provide a recent headshot and resume if available.
