BARRINGTON - Alberta M. Calef-St. Cyr, 93, died on Thursday, February 3rd, 2022 from natural causes at Watson Fields Assisted Living Home with family by her side.

She was born on January 27, 1929, in Exeter. She was the daughter of Albert Witham and Marguerite (Ball) Colby. A 1947 graduate of Spaulding High School in Rochester, she married Roger L. Calef and raised three children: Andrea, William and Jere. Alberta was a 4th generation part owner of Calef's Country Store from 1966-1996. She and her first husband, Roger, enjoyed spending time at their camp on Swain's Lake and in Bermuda where they made lifelong friends. After the death of her husband Roger in 1984, she married Albert St. Cyr in 1988. Al was a former town manager of Barrington and Bow, and spent many years in California government.

Alberta enjoyed "The Dinner Club" with her sister, Joel, and the townies. She was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and enjoyed reading, spending time with family and wintering in Naples, Fla. Alberta often said, "Oh well, that's the way it goes."

Alberta leaves behind her son-in-law Tim Rowell of Barrington, her son William and his wife, Cathy of Fort Myers, Fla., Jere and his wife Jane of Barrington, stepson Arthur St. Cyr and his wife Anne of Ohio and Gerard St. Cyr of California and grandchildren Nathan Conley, Arianne Conley and her husband Bill, Kelsey Calef, Alyssa Calef, Kristyl Calef Brum and husband Jim, Justin Calef Chadbourn, and Josiah Calef and great-grandchildren Talon Conley, Arden Conley and Tristan Calef Chadbourn.

She was predeceased by her husbands, Roger Calef and Albert St. Cyr, her daughter Andrea Rowell, and her sisters Shirley Gibb Haley, Gloria Maine, and Betty Seaver.
