ROCHESTER - Alberta M. Buzzell, 89, affectionately known as Cricket, of Chestnut Street, died Sunday, August 13, 2017, at the Frisbie Memorial Hospital. Born August 17, 1927, in Oakland, Maine. She is the daughter of the late Albert and Irene Lessard.
Alberta has lived in Rochester since 1969. She was an active member of True Memorial Baptist Church in Rochester. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and was a huge Boston Red Sox fan who had a chance to watch the great Ted Williams play at Spring Training. She was nurse for over 60 years while retiring from the Rochester Manor after 30 years. She was a very hard working woman who loved her children and family.
Members of her family include her sons; Vernon Buzzell Jr., of Rochester, N.H., and Lloyd Buzzell and his wife Kim of Cheyenne, Wyo.; her grandson, Jason Buzzell and his wife Amanda of Omaha, Nebraska and her great-grandchildren Mason and Briar Buzzell both of Omaha, Nebraska; her brother David Lessard and his wife Doris of Marlboro, Connecticut and sister Beatrice Kershaw of Berlin, Connecticut. She was preceded in death by sister Kathleen and brother Albert.
