Alcott's classic 'Little Women' headed for Garrison Players stage

ROLLINSFORD - The Garrison Players present Little Women, performed by their talented Youth Education actors.

Little Women is Louisa May Alcott's autobiographical account of her life with her three sisters in Concord, Mass., in the 1860s.

With their father fighting in the American Civil War, sisters Jo, Meg, Amy and Beth are at home with their mother. The story tells of how the sisters grow up, find love and find their places in the world.

Directed by Autumn Allen, the cast features Genevieve Allen, Sarah Carlson, Sydney Coppola, Lila Field, Anelia Holden, Haley Newick, Ella Orchard-Blowen, Eowyn Ouellette, Matthew Polychronis, Maddie Roy and Ashley Willett.

The performances are March 13-22, Fridays and Saturdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the door, by calling 603-750-4ART or at www.garrisonplayers.org. All performances are held at the Garrison Players Arts Center, located on Route 4, at the corner of Roberts Road in Rollinsford.

Garrison Players Arts Center is a nonprofit, volunteer-based community theater group dedicated to enriching the cultural life of the area by presenting high-quality theatrical performances geared for family audiences. Established in 1953, the players encourage people of all ages to enjoy and participate in the many facets of the performing arts, and to help maintain the Garrison Players Arts Center.
