ROCHESTER - Alfreda May Young, 87, died Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at Rochester Manor. Born May 6, 1929, in Rochester, a daughter of Albert M. and Iona B. (Knight) Smith, she attended school in Milton and was a longtime resident of Rochester.
A loving homemaker and mother, she was a member of the Church of God in Rochester.
Alfreda liked crafts, singing karaoke and she loved the Rochester Fair, having worked there.
Mom loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with them.
Widow of the late Ivory H. Young, she is survived by three daughters: Leona Smith, Nancy and husband Marty Marcinkoski, Darlene and husband Edmund Seale, 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren, also many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two daughters: Lena Smith and Goldie Arno and her 12 siblings.
