Almost a third of new infections are from Strafford County

CONCORD - DHHS announced 23 new positive test results for COVID-19 on Tuesday, including four under the age of 18 and a whopping seven from Strafford County, the largest single-day count in recent months and more than any other county or city in the state.

One new hospitalized case was identified for a current total of eight.

Local current cases show Dover with five, Rochester, Strafford and Barrington all with 1-4 and Milton, Farmington and Somersworth with none.

Persons being monitored dropped 10 percent in the past week from 1,900 on Aug. 26 down to 1,700 today.

No deaths were reported.
