Annual hydrant flushing will continue until Nov. 3

ROCHESTER - The City of Rochester will be flushing fire hydrants until Nov. 3. The majority of flushing will be scheduled from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.

As a result of flushing, some slight discoloration may be noticed in the water. If discoloration occurs it may clear up if you run your cold water tap for several minutes. Customers may also experience low water pressure while flushing is in progress. Customers are urged to check their water for these types of issues before bathing or doing laundry.

If residents have any questions or concerns, or if discoloration will not clear, please call the Rochester Public Works Department at (603) 332-4096 during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
