ROCHESTER - Another resident of the city suspected of overdosing on heroin and being revived by medical responders was charged on Friday with possession.

Carley Tate, 30, of Gonic, was charged with possession of controlled narcotic drugs and released on personal recognizance bail pending her arraigned in March at the 7th Circuit District Division Rochester Court.

Police say on Dec. 16 police and Frisbie EMTs responded to 10 Shelby Lane, Apt 2, for a report of two persons, one of them Tate, who had overdosed on heroin. Upon arrival, they were revived and transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital.

Police in a press release on Friday did not say why the other suspected victim of overdose was not charged.

The arrest brings to six the number of heroin overdoses and arrests in the past two weeks as police continue their efforts to find midlevel dealers suspected of cooking up the potentially fatal heroin doses.
