CONCORD - New Hampshire's funding program to assist self-employed businesses who have been financially hurt from the COVID-19 pandemic began taking applications on Monday.
Instructions, requirements and applications can be found online at https://gtc.revenue.nh.gov/TAP/SELF/_/#0
The process for disbursal of the money will be similar to the Main Street program that benefitted small businesses earlier last month.
The $400 Main Street program distributed about $334 million to small businesses statewide, but did not include the self-employed.
When it was learned that about a third of the 13,000 who applied for Main Street funds were self-employed, Sununu and state officials made the decision to birth a second program just for them.
Sununu said the application process will be similar to the Main Street program and easy to complete.
The grant applications must be filed by 4 p.m. on July 17.
Meanwhile, state health officials on Monday announced 21 new positive test results for COVID-19, including two under 18.
Four new hospitalizations were also identified, however current hospitalizations remained the same as Sunday at 25.
One new confirmed case is from Strafford County.
Another good sign was that the percentage of recovered cases is now at 80 percent for the first time.
DHHS announced one additional death related to COVID-19, a Rockingham County woman 60 or older.
