Arrest warrants filed for Somersworth man who skipped out on sentencing hearing

Area police are on the lookout today for a Somersworth man who skipped out on his plea and sentencing hearing that was scheduled for Friday.
Warrants for the arrest of Jason A. Chick, 35, formerly of Franklin Street, Somersworth, were in the process of being drawn up, Assistant Strafford County Attorney Patrick Stephen Conroy confirmed Friday afternoon.
Chick's plea deal comprised five Class B felony charges including theft, burglary and robbery in Somersworth and two drug possession charges in Rochester.
The most serious charges are in connection with an alleged Aug. 15, 2020, robbery in Somersworth during which he is also accused of two counts of DV simple assault, disobeying an officer and reckless operation.
In all the charges could result in almost 40 years in prison.
Conroy declined to specify details of the plea deal.
