MILTON - A pair of New Hampshire teens who are suspects in the discharging of a handgun during a streetfight that involved some 10 juveniles at Pineland Park last week could face some fairly stiff jail time if the case against them goes forward, Milton Police Chief Richard Krauss said today.

In all some 10 juveniles including many from Milton were involved in the fracas, but the two who are suspects and could be charged as a result of the investigation are from out of town, Krauss said.

The incident began around 8 p.m. on March 28 as a group of juveniles congregated outside on the street in the Pineland Park Trailer Park.

Soon after the juveniles fled the scene in a Black Chevrolet Cobalt, and police put out a BOLO (be on the lookout for) on the vehicle, which was found by Rochester Police on Little Falls Road around 10 p.m.

Milton Police then seized the vehicle, were given a search warrant and after searching through it found evidence, Krauss said.

The probe is active and ongoing, so Krauss said he couldn't give too many details.

He said they still had some interviews to complete and would be passing on the results of the investigations to the County Attorney's Office.

There were no injuries reported in the fight.

Krauss said he couldn't give the home towns or ages of the suspects but said they were under 18.

The handgun that was used has still not been recovered, Krauss said.

He said this type of charge could likely be a Class B felony, which could mean 1-3 years if there is a conviction.
