Apathy: A lack of emotion, interest, or motivation. An attitude of not caring or an inability to initiate action, even regarding things that usually matter. People experiencing apathy may feel emotionally flat and disconnected from both positive and negative experiences.

Just 17 percent of the voters turned out in recent democrat New York City primaries to vote in a swath of self-avowed communists, who will likely take office in the general election this November.

And this trend is happening across the country with communist candidates knocking off legacy Democrat candidates along the way, moving the Democratic party further to the left.

The victories were so overwhelming that the New York Times proclaimed New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani a “kingmaker.”

“Tax the rich, feed the poor, till there are no rich no more” are the lyrics from the Ten Years After song.

That’s the mantra for communism.

You can call them the Democrat Socialists of Americas, and you can put lipstick on a pig, too, if you want. It’s all the same.

Mayor Commie Mamdani says people can’t afford stuff, and this country is so rich, it should be doing more.

Well, let me tell you mayor, this country did not get rich under communism. It got rich under capitalism, where if you’re smart and persistent you can achieve the American dream.

Under communism, it’s everybody’s nightmare except the very few ruthless who are in power.

As a high school senior I took a course called Russia studies, and what I remember most is my teacher, Mr. Jensen, saying how “pure communism” is fundamentally not a bad concept, but it never stays “pure.” It is quickly corrupted and has resulted in the deaths of millions.

It is estimated that between 700,000 and 1.2 million people were executed or died in custody during Stalin’s Great Purge, alone.

I doubt that course I took is offered now, either in high school or college.

The Soviet Union, Cuba, Venezuela? They all failed.

North Korea, China? Trust me, Refugees from all over the world are not pounding down the doors to live there!

More than a million American have died in battle to keep our country free.

The least we can do is vote.

President Ronald Reagan once said that our Democracy is very fragile, adding that “freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.”

The way things are going today it might be just one election away.

No room for apathy these days. Vote.
