ROCHESTER - The Franklin Gallery at RiverStones Custom Framing will host an exhibit during February titled "It Ain't Easy Being Easy," featuring the work of Matt Wyatt. Due to COVID concerns, there will be no opening reception. However, the public is encouraged to view this exhibit during regular store hours at RiverStones Custom Framing.
Matt Wyatt is a multi-media artist living and working in Rochester. His work includes abstract expressionism, collage, and photography. He studied at the New Hampshire Institute of Art in Manchester and earned a certificate in Digital Photography from eCornell, Cornell University's online program.
Wyatt's work has received regional and national attention and exhibited in a variety of venues including Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, Art Current in Provincetown, Mass., the Diane Von Furstenberg Studio in New York and The Gatehouse Gallery of Tamworth.
In 2011, Wyatt co-founded the Rochester Museum of Fine Art and has helped curate more than 100 art exhibitions.
The Franklin Gallery and RiverStones Custom Framing at 33 N. Main Street in Rochester's downtown are open Wednesday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Unless otherwise indicated, all exhibited Franklin Gallery artworks are available for purchase.
