Arundel lady jailed after alleged pocket knife stabbing

ARUNDEL - An Arundel woman is behind bars today after police say she stabbed a household member with a pocket knife at their home Saturday afternoon.

The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. when York County Sheriff's Deputies were called to South Skillings Road for a reported stabbing.

Upon arrival, deputies encountered numerous people who were socializing at the household. Several people live at the residence, one of whom is the victim and Violet Walker.

The investigation revealed that Violet Walker, 50, had gotten into an argument and stabbed the man in the neck with a pocketknife.

The victim was transported to Maine Medical Center with what were described as nonlife-threatening injuries.

According to the deputies who interviewed a witness at the hospital, officials there related the victim would not be admitted but had to remain at the hospital for several hours under observation.

Violet Walker was arrested and charged with aggravated criminal threatening. She remains at the York County Jail pending a $1,000 bail and her initial court appearance on Monday.
