Northern Seacoast residents who basked in weekend warmth will get a reality check on Tuesday when a fast-moving storm could dump a half foot of snow on the region.
Snow may fall at a rate of 1-3 inches per hour at the storm's peak.
The snow is expected to begin around daybreak on Tuesday and could continue off and on throughout the daylight hours, possibly impacting both morning and evening commutes.
In areas to the south the precipitation may begin as rain, but this will mostly be a snow event in the Rochester area, forecasters say.
Tuesday's high temperature will be in the mid-30s.
