ROCHESTER - Barbara Jean Earl, 86, died peacefully on Monday, April 28, 2025, following a period of failing health.
Barbara Jean was the most generous, loving, and caring soul; known for her strong will, unwavering determination, and loyalty. She spent her final days surrounded by family listening to the boisterous banter of the people she loved most. Although she is gone, she will be cherished and reside in our hearts forever.
Born July 14, 1938, in Haverhill, Mass., she was the daughter of John and Evelyn (Tuck) Earl, Sr. She resided in Rochester the majority of her life.
Barbara Jean retired from General Electric. She also worked for IMC, Bonanza, and at several family restaurants, including Earl's Drive-in in Rochester. In her free time, she enjoyed trips to the casino, Disney World, baking (fudge, cherry squares, etc.), watching TV (Red Sox), cheering on family members at their shows/sporting events, volunteering at her park's library, and most importantly, quality time with her family and friends.
Members of her family include her brother John E. Earl, Jr. and wife Marla of Berwick, Maine; and sister Nancy Saltzman of Rochester; as well as numerous nieces and nephews that she loved as her own children.
