Barbara Ryder ... longtime Farmington resident; at 76

NORTH TROY, Vt. - Barbara Jean (Tarmey) Ryder 76 of North Troy, died on Friday, January 21, 2022 after a long illness. Born in Gilmanton, N.H., on November 21, 1945, Barbara was the daughter of the late John and Carol (Brassaw) Tarmey.

Home to her was always Farmington, N.H., where she spent most of her time on Meaderboro Rd enjoying country life with her family and friends. She enjoyed baking and preparing everyone's favorite meals. Barb enjoyed playing cards and doing special things with her grandchildren. She loved working in her flower beds and enjoyed feeding and watching the birds. Her favorite was the hummingbird. She will be greatly missed by all.

She is survived by her loving family; her siblings, Sharyn Vien of Farmington, Darrell Tarmey and wife Donna of Farmington, Darlene Starr and husband Howard of Newport Center, Patrick Tarmey and wife Donna of Milford, Mass., Patricia Frost Labelle and husband Norman of Alton Bay, N.H. and John (Beany) Tarmey Jr. and wife Dawn of Gallivants Ferry, S.C. Her beloved husband of 58 years, Lawrence Ryder Jr. , her children, Scott Ryder of Rochester, N.H., James Ryder and wife Laura of Middleton, N.H., Linda Dewing of Greensburg, PA and Dwayne Ryder and wife Theresa of Lebanon, Maine, her grandchildren, Nichole, Justin, Josh and Kendra, as well as several nieces, nephews and great grandchildren .
