ROCHESTER - Benjamin Shannon, 34, passed away on March 11 at Maine Medical Center, Portland, Maine. He was born in Dover, the son of Beverly (Bryant) Shannon and the late Wayne Shannon Sr.

Ben attended Farmington schools and worked as a framer. His hobbies and likes include tough man competitions, being outdoors, cycling, hanging out with friends and family and he loved dogs, most especially his dog Max.

Surviving members of his family are his mother Beverly (Bryant) Shannon of Rochester, his sister Lisa Caplette of Naples, Fla., and his brother, Wayne Shannon Jr. of Rochester. He also leaves behind his lifelong friend Michelle Lamantia, 10 aunts and uncles and four nieces and nephews.

Benjamin is predeceased by his father Wayne Shannon Sr, his nephew Wayne Daniel Shannon, his stepson JT Lamantia, maternal grandparents Hazel (Trombly) Bryant and Leonard Bryant. His paternal grandparents Arlene (Eldridge) Stevens and Daniel Shannon.

Benjamin was a loving, fun, enthusiastic son, brother and friend. He will be missed by all.
