BERLIN - A Coos County Superior Court Jury has found a Berlin man guilty of second degree murder following a six-day jury trial.
Dustin Duren fatally shot Caitlyn Naffziger on Feb. 29, while she sat on the couch inside his apartment located at 1063 Main Street in Berlin.
Duren was found guilty of both knowingly and recklessly causing her death, as well as for reckless conduct with a deadly weapon and endangering the welfare of Naffziger's children. The verdict was returned by the jury late Tuesday, according to a press release from the Attorney Generals Office.
Duren will be sentenced on Dec. 11 at the Coos County Superior Court in Lancaster. The defendant is held without bail in the custody of the Coos County Sheriff's Department pending sentencing.
