WHITEFIELD - Bernard "Bernie" Thibeault, 75, of Whitefield, died on Nov. 11, 2019, of dementia with lewy bodies.

Born May 13, 1944, to Yvonne and Ernest Thibeault in Rochester, he grew up in Somersworth and was captain of the baseball team. After graduating from Somersworth High School in 1962, he studied to be a machinist at the Portsmouth Vo-tech, graduated in 1965, and became a master auto-body mechanic specializing in restoration of classic cars.

In October of 1965 he married Ann Batchelder of Lancaster, daughter of Lyle and Verna (Osborne) Batchelder, and had three sons, Michael, Craig and John. He played softball for Grace and Dicks softball team from 1968-1969. After retiring in 2001, Bernie spent his time camping, boating, and fishing. He was predeceased by his brother Martin, and sister Vivian.

He is survived by his wife Ann, brother Donald, his three sons, Michael, Craig and John, and special fur friend Buddy.
