STRATHAM - A 20-year-old Berwick man was arrested on Sunday in the killing of a woman at Timberland's corporate headquarters in Stratham where he worked as a security guard.

The victim, 46, who worked at the office, and the accused, Robert Pavao, 20, of Berwick, Maine, have no known connection, according to authorities, who continue to pursue any past interactions between the two.

Initial 911 calls around 4:30 p.m. indicated a stabbing, but Assistant Attorney General Jeff Strelzin said he could not confirm how the unidentified victim died until autopsy results are released today.

Meanwhile, Pavao waived arraignment on Monday and pleaded not guilty to two counts of second-degree murder. He remains held without bail at the Rockingham County Jail.
