ROCHESTER - A Berwick man was seriously injured Wednesday in a collision with a vehicle towing a trailer on on Salmon Falls Road.
Police and rescue responded around 11:10 a.m. to the area if 1187 Salmon Falls Road where they found a 2019 Harley Davidson motorcycle and a 2004 GMC pickup truck towing a car trailer had crashed into each other as they passed on a curve.
The operator of the motorcycle, Kenneth Tharpe, 55, suffered a severe leg injury, while the the driver of the pickup, Bruce Patch, 69, of Farmington, was uninjured.
The Harley Davidson sustained extensive damage and was later towed from the scene.
The GMC was able to drive from the scene, but the trailer was towed due to damage of the driver's side dual wheels.
Tharpe was wearing a helmet.
Due to the severity of the crash, the Strafford County Regional Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team responded to assist with the investigation and inspection of the car trailer.
