ROCHESTER - Betty A. (Rainaud) Edmands, 87, of Rochester, died on Feb. 18, 2023, at Frisbee Memorial Hospital, after a period of declining health. Betty was born in Rochester to the late Warren and Evelyn (Garland) Rainaud.

Betty met and married a Coast Guardsman, Alfred Weeks, of Barnstead, and they were stationed in both Hawaii and So. Portland, Maine on two different occasions. During this time, they had five children, and she was a devoted wife and mother. After Alfred passed, she met and married her second husband Charles (Chuck) Edmands, of Rhode Island, with whom she had many happy years.

She loved traveling, backyard barbecues, gardening, shopping and Beano...anything that involved friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her husbands Alfred Weeks and Charles Edmands; daughters Denise Weeks and Sherri Pike; brothers Robert, William, Burton, Bruce and Barry Rainaud; sisters Barbara Bilger and Brenda Smith.

She is survived by her son, Gary Weeks of Berwick, Maine; daughters Debbie Weeks of Hilo, HI, and Dawn Weeks of Lewiston, Maine; grandchildren, Kristin Weeks of Florida, Deanne Duff of Lewiston, Ashley Webb of Proctorville, Ohio and Jerry Pike Jr. of Metz, W.V.; great grandchildren, Makayla Douglas of Lewiston, Jordan and Adrianne Duff of Chelsea, Maine and Harrison Pike of Metz, brother Brian (with wife Linda) Rainaud of West Lebanon, Maine; as well as many nieces and nephews.
