Bill Arthur Bryant, 67, died peacefully on Saturday Dec. 23, 2023, at Portsmouth Hospital after a short illness. He was born in Rochester, the son of the late Clara and Chester Morgan Sr. Bill received his GED in 2006 from Noble High School, in Berwick, Maine.

Bill met the love of his life, Marion, in 1969 and they later married in 1975 and settled in Rochester. They would have celebrated 49 years of marriage in January 2024. He worked at Textron Rubber for 32 years as a machinist and then started his second career at Strafford County House of Corrections as a Correctional Officer in 2006. He retired in 2019 after 13 years of service.

Bill had a love for Sports! He loved NASCAR and always rooted for #24 (Gordon) and was a lifelong fan of the Red Sox and Patriots. In the early years, Bill and Marion enjoyed playing cards with friends and camping with their boys. Bill had a passion for coaching; he supported his boys and his grandchildren in all their activities and never missed a game or an event. Bill played a major part in starting the program for the Farmington High School football team along with coaching the Little Red Raiders and Babe Ruth and Little League Baseball in Rochester for many years. Since retirement, Bill enjoyed staying busy with his daily walks around the city of Rochester, his frequent visits to the gym, playing with his dog Panda, family BBQs, playing games with the grandchildren, and spending quality time with his wife and family.

He is survived by his wife Marion Bryant and their two sons, Gary Bryant and his wife Jenn and Tracey Bryant and his wife Carrie. Bill also played a father figure to T.J. Butler for many years. He is also survived by his sisters and brothers, Amy Jackson and her husband Fred, his twin sister Linda Place, Beverly Shannon, Claire Morgan, Roberta Garneau, Jacqueline Bertrand, Sandra Picott, Bob Bryant and wife Melody, David Bryant and his wife Nancy, and Wayne Bryant and his wife Carmelle. Bill's greatest joys in his life include his six grandchildren, Cody Bryant, Karyn Bryant and her fiancé Taylor Turpin, Hannah Bryant, Logan Bryant, Conor Bryant, and Leah Bryant. Bill had special bonds with Stacie Walker and her children Isabelle Marshall and Odin Vachon as well as Stephanie Smith and her mother Michelle Perreault. Along with his parents, he was pre-deceased by his brother Chester Morgan Jr., his in-laws, Frank and Joan DuBay, sister in-law Donna Willard and brother in-laws, Frank DuBay Jr. and Terry Place. He leaves behind several sister in-laws, brother in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
