CONCORD - Bruce D. "Bucko" Jewell, 72, of Concord, formerly of Rochester, died peacefully on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023.

He was born on July 17, 1950, in St. Louis, Mo., a son of the late Grandville and Dorothy (Haley) Jewell

Raised in Exeter, he graduated from Exeter High School with the Class of 1968.

Bucko worked in the sprinkler fire suppression industry for much of his career. He founded Northern Fire Protection in 1996, based in Portsmouth, NH

Bucko will be most remembered for his love of all things sports, animals, and how he loved to "tell stories" and make his family laugh.

Surviving family members include his wife Dellann Jewell of Rochester, daughter Sarah Jewell of Madbury, stepdaughter Jodie Daudelin and stepson Joshua Hale, both of Strafford. Grandchildren Mercedes Jewell, Kianna and Codi Daudelin, Joshua and Tyler Hale. Bothers Glenn "Biff" Jewell, Greg Jewell, Bradley Jewell and sister Bambi Robinson, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Dennis "Buzzy" Jewell.
